Comfortable base for exploring Lamego. Modern and luxury hotel with a tapas restaurant and enthusiastic staff. Location provides easy access to Duoro Valley wines. Conveniently situated near restaurants and a working vineyard in the wine district. Amazing breakfast featuring smoked salmon and champagne, served on the patio.

Slightly tricky to find but.... well worth finding! Service from all the staff was outstanding. The food was superb and the surroundings absolutely top class. I would not hesitate to return to the Wine House all they need is some decent instructions on how to find the place and the job would be complete.

The location was stunning and fantastic for traveling around Lamego, really close to perfect to stay in the river Douro, northern Portugal, and the fine dinning restaurant. The breakfast was amazing, had a good choice of options. It offered very good service and brilliant food too.

A charming Hotel surounded by vineyard. The original house as been restaured giving the guess a mix of modern confort with a taste of tradition. Our Bedroom was big, well decorated, and very confortable. Bathroom was a very nice surprise very modern with only the finest materials. A final toutch was given by the Occitanne products. The breakfast is served in a large room with an excellent view. The buffet was five stars, we love the natural peaches. We finished with a nespresso coffee.

Rooms and bed were very comfortable and roomy. A lot of money had been spent upgrading hotel but if you cannot adjust the water temperature the silver fittings don't make a difference. Location in the vineyard was as expected although a free tasting for guests of the hotel would have been more fitting.
The satnav directions to the hotel are incorrect and we spent 1.5 late hours searching around the contryside to find the place. When we told the receptionist he said, oh yes, we know about that...but they have done nothing about it! The staff were helpful but obviously poorly trained, forgotten drink/food orders etc.
